How to Match Resolution to Your Screen

To find your screen's native resolution on Windows: right-click the desktop → Display Settings → Resolution. On macOS: System Settings → Displays. Use that exact value in Wallhaven's resolution filter for the sharpest result with no upscaling.

Resolution vs Aspect Ratio

Resolution specifies exact pixel dimensions (e.g., 2560×1440). Aspect ratio specifies only the shape (16:9, 21:9). Filtering by resolution is more precise; filtering by ratio gives broader results. Use ratio filtering when you want the widest selection and are fine with slight scaling.
